At the Rhododendron Blooming Festival, concerts will be performed by Aleksandrs Antoņenko, Ance Krauze, Marija Naumova, and IGO.

From May 26 to 29
The traditional Rhododendron Blossom Festival will take place in Babīte Rhododendron Park, where visitors will be delighted by excellent artist concerts on a special water stage for four evenings at the peak of blooming.
On May 26 at 8 p.m. the festival opening concert "There is one evening in gentle May" will feature the world-famous Latvian tenor Aleksandrs Antoņenko, whose voice has been heard and continues to resonate in major opera houses in Berlin, London, Oslo, Milan, Paris, Athens, and of course, our White House (Latvian National Opera). The singer's repertoire includes all the leading tenor roles: Verdi's Otello, Puccini's Calaf, Cavaradossi, and De Grieux, among others. Meanwhile, on this wonderful spring evening, together with his longtime concertmaster Laila Holberga, the singer will offer the audience a special concert program featuring solo songs by Latvian composers and Richard Strauss, as well as arias from Italian composers.
On May 27 at 8 p.m. the concert program will feature the unique voice of singer Ance Krauze and pianist Romans Vendins. "For this rhododendron blooming season, I believe something romantic, bright, joyful, and light will be suitable: songs by Raimonds Pauls, Jānis Lūsēns, Jānis Strazds, and other Latvian composers," outlines Ance, who has been repeatedly nominated for the Latvian Music Recording of the Year award "Golden Microphone" (and has also received it multiple times) for her performances. Throughout her career, the singer has successfully collaborated with Maestro Raimonds Pauls, singer Normunds Rutulis, both with composer Jānis Lūsēns in the program "Violets" and Jānis Strazds in the program "Neturi, kad pļavā brienu," which includes songs by several composers.
On May 28 at 8 p.m. singer Marija Naumova, along with her friends - the wonderful musicians Rolands Belevičs, Egor Kovaikov, and Norbert Skraucs - invites the audience to a special concert "Summer Night." "During the blooming season, the garden will turn into a natural stage where the splendid rhododendrons, the evening air, and the music will blend into one mood. On this evening, you can breathe in the summer - listening to melodies and surrendering to the warm latino rhythms that will fill the garden with vitality and light dreaminess," says the singer. The concert will feature music by Raimonds Pauls, Valdis Atāls, and Niks Matvejevs, as well as compositions by Marija's French friend Sebastien Giniaux with lyrics by Jānis Peteris, Māra Zālīte, Kārlis Vērdiņš, and Marts Pujāts. French and Spanish songs will also be performed in the summery atmosphere. It will be an evening amidst flowers and melodies - gentle, lively, and slightly dreamy. "We look forward to meeting you among the rhododendrons!"
On May 29 at 8 p.m. the closing concert of the Rhododendron Blossom Festival will feature the outstanding singer IGO and guitarist Aivars Hermanis. As the singer himself expresses, during this romantic concert, compositions that promote blooming will be played, and there will be an opportunity to enjoy well-known songs from the repertoire of the groups "Līvi" and "Remix." "Songs will sound great with the accompaniment of ukuleles not only from my 'golden' repertoire but also from songs composed recently. Therefore, be prepared for emotional moments and fun times, singing together 'Zīlīte,' 'Kā senā dziesmā,' 'Bet dzīvē viss ir citādāk,' and other songs," invites the artist.
During the concerts, there will be an opportunity to enjoy wine, champagne, and snacks. Audience members are requested to bring a blanket or a folding chair, as well as mosquito repellent. Entrance to the concert venue - starting from 7 p.m.; concert starts - at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the concerts can be purchased in the "Biļešu Paradīze" network. As the event approaches, ticket prices may increase. A separate entrance ticket must be purchased for each concert.
